MBO Young Observers Saturday 14th June 2014

This Saturday (the second of the month) is Young Observers. The first step toward becoming a scientist is learning to observe the world around you like a scientist. So this month we will be creating our own astronomical log books and learning how to describe and record what we see in the night sky. So bring along an exercise book, pen and pencil and prepare for a night of keen observation.

National Science Week (13th to 24th August) is fast approaching and Young Observers are needed to help run our evenings!.. so if you can use a Dob or give a short talk on Kepler's laws to a school group then we need you! Sign up now.

Young Observers runs from 6:30 to 8:00 pm this Saturday at Mount Burnett Observatory. Participation is free for members and $5 for visiting children. Please bring a small plate to share as part of our supper.
