The next meeting for Young Observers will be on Saturday 7th April. Split times apply, so for the juniors (Novae) we will start at 6:30pm - 7:15pm (30 minute gap). The older juniors (Supernovae) will run from 7:45pm - 9pm.
Young Observers is exclusive to Members Only. Please bring a plate of food along to share. Please remember to dress appropriately for the cooler temperatures at night on the mountain and for the older Supernovae group a small red torch for outside work at the telescope is recommended if the weather is clear. If the weather allows we will try get the telescopes out for viewing, especially now daylight savings has ended.
We also have the beginnings of a Young Observers Library being put together, so if you have any astronomy and space books your children may have grown out of, especially around Kinder to early Primary age, we’d be happy to consider taking them. Jacquie has been busy clearing out the cluttered bookcase on the south side of the cabin to house them.
Hope to see you there!
Jacquie and the Young Observers Team
Please note: MBO will always be closed on days of Severe, Extreme and Code Red fire ratings, please see the CFA website for up-to-date information.
