I'm gleeful to report that the forecast for this weekend up at Mount Burnett Observatory states clear skies, no precipitation levels and a mild breeze (excellent viewing conditions)! Hence, this Saturday night I will - finally - be able to host yet another fantastic Deep-Sky night. Nevertheless, the night it only as good as the people who join in on the jollification. So come on down! Also, in lieu of the very exciting success of the New Horizons Space mission, I think it will be a great challenge to find the controversial beast itself.
I'll try to send a final update regarding Saturday both via e-mail and SMS tomorrow.
Please consider the neighbours and the observers by driving in and out quietly using low beam only, or better still, parking lights.
Please note: MBO will always be closed on days of Severe, Extreme and Code Red fire ratings, please see the CFA website for that information.
