Tuesday 29th April - Partial Solar Eclipse - Emerald, VIC

There is a partial eclipse of the Sun that will be visible from Melbourne on Tuesday 29th April and Mt Burnett Observatory will be outside the Emerald Community Centre on the main street of Emerald (opposite Mitre10) with equipment to view the eclipse safely between 4pm and 5:30pm.   Fingers crossed the weather will accomodate us!

REMEMBER: Never look at the sun without the correct protection - it will damage your eyes and can blind you.  Binoculars and telescopes should only be used to project images onto white card if you do not have proper solar filters.  Never try and look at the sun through them!
