Friday 1st September - Sky For The Month with Perry Vlahos

8pm Friday 1st September we have Perry Vlahos's "Sky for the Month" presentation!

As we leave the bitterly cold nights behind us and head into the more inviting spring evenings, there's a number of interesting objects and phenomena to look out for. Perry will not only be pointing out the brightest stars, planets and constellations visible this month, but also some of the deep sky objects worth looking for with naked eye, binoculars and small telescopes. So, even if you don't possess 'Hubble Junior', Perry will show you how to make the most of whatever size optical instrument you have, so that you may begin your journey to the stars. Don't miss this always educational, entertaining and fully illustrated talk.

Members' Night is on every Friday night commencing at 8PM sharp (doors open 7:30PM). Guests are always welcome.  Supper follows the talk and please feel free to bring some food as a contribution if you are able!

Please consider the neighbours and drive in and out quietly using low beam only, or better still, parking lights.

Please note: MBO will always be closed on days of Severe, Extreme and Code Red fire ratings, please see the CFA website for up-to-date information.
