Friday 24th February 2017 - Free Form Friday

8pm this Friday 24th February we have a Free Form Friday:

Black holes eating stars. The search for planet 9. Rockets launching, spacecraft crashing and high school students classifying stars. It is all happening out there in space (and down here too!) This Friday we will hold open Mic Friday. So bring along your favourite astronomical news item to discuss with the members. Open Mic Friday is also a great opportunity to introduce your telescope or favourite piece of star-gazing equipment to other members. Maybe you have taken some great new photographs with it or perhaps you just cannot get a clear image. We want to hear it all.
Members' nights start at 8pm and are followed by supper and star-gazing. We look forward to hearing your tales!

If you have a telescope and would like to know how to use it, or alternatively, would like to show it off to us, please bring it along!

Members' Night is on every Friday night commencing at 8PM (doors open 7:30PM). Guests are always welcome.

Please consider the neighbours and drive in and out quietly using low beam only, or better still, parking lights.

Please note: MBO will always be closed on days of Severe, Extreme and Code Red fire ratings, please see the CFA website for up-to-date information.

For weather information please see our useful links.
