Good Friday
Yes, we will be open this Friday night (Good Friday) for Members’ Night. It will feature Perry Vlahos giving Part 2 of an illustrated talk on what is possible to observe with naked eye, binoculars and telescope this month. It will include instruction on how to use an ‘all sky’ chart of the sky to find celestial objects. You can download a copy of such a chart from www.skymaps.com; please make sure that you download the southern hemisphere version of the chart for the month of April, and not northern hemisphere or the one for equatorial regions. Print the chart and bring it along to the talk. Easter Eggs and supper will follow, and there will be viewing through the large telescope until late, if the sky is clear. Members’ Night is on every Friday night and begins at 8pm.
